Black Lung Benefits Program
Big Sandy Health Care administers the Health Resources Services Administration program to assist former miners with their applications to receive black lung benefits through the Department of Labor. Application to this program is complex and requires extensive paperwork before an exam for black lung can be administered. Our black lung benefits counselors can reduce the stress of paperwork requirements for those who think they may have black lung. The assistance is offered free of charge and is the first step in the myriad process of obtaining benefits for black lung.
